The Jones Lab

The Jones lab conducts research on the roles that ectomycorrhizal fungi (EMF) play in host nutrition and nutrient cycling in forests. Using molecular tools and isotope tracers, we study the factors determining the species composition and functional attributes of EMF communities in situ in forests undergoing natural disturbance, environmental stress or active management.
